After posting the first increase of the week on Wednesday, the price of gold in Pakistan fell again on Thursday.
According to data issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold (24 carats) went down by Rs. 700 per tola to Rs. 275,200, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs. 600 to Rs. 235,940.
Gold had posted losses of Rs. 4,100 per tola and Rs. 4,300 on Monday and Tuesday respectively, with two days losses standing at Rs. 8,400 per tola. However, Wednesday saw the price go up by Rs. 1,600 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices climbed on Thursday with spot gold up 0.4 percent to $2,645.67 per ounce as of 1024 GMT, while the U.S. gold futures were up 0.2 percent to $2,644.80.
