FIFA has revealed the nominees for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024, recognizing the top performers in men’s and women’s football at both club and national team levels.
Voting is now open on FIFA.com, allowing fans to participate in selecting the winners across various categories.
The voting process will be a collaborative effort, with fans, national team captains and coaches, and media representatives each having an equal say in the outcome of the following categories:
- Men’s Player
- Women’s Player
- Men’s Coach
- Women’s Coach
- Men’s Goalkeeper
- Women’s Goalkeeper
Fans will also have the chance to vote for The Best FIFA Men’s 11 and The Best FIFA Women’s 11. Voters can choose from a list of 77 nominated players, which includes 22 defenders, midfielders, and forwards, plus 11 goalkeepers.
Fans can place these players into preset tactical formations to create their ultimate team. Votes for these categories will be weighted equally between fans and an expert panel.
The FIFA Puskás Award will now be given to the best goal in men’s football, regardless of the championship or nationality. In addition, the FIFA Marta Award, named after the Brazilian legend, will be presented for the first time to honor the best goal scored in women’s football.
