Pakistan Routs Bangladesh in Junior Asia Cup Hockey

Pakistan extended their perfect start to the 2024 Junior Asia Cup Hockey with a resounding 6-0 victory over Bangladesh in Muscat, Oman, on Thursday. This commanding win follows their opening 7-2 triumph over China, keeping them at the top of their group.

The star of the match was once again Pakistan’s most impactful new hockey star Sufyan Khan, who netted a brilliant hat-trick.

Pakistan opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through a penalty corner conversion by Sufyan, giving them an early lead. Shortly after, Mohammad Ammad doubled the advantage with a field goal, making it 2-0.

Ammad’s all-round contribution earned him the Player of the Match award, recognizing his key role in Pakistan’s dominant performance.

After dismantling Bangladesh, Pakistan will face the hosts Oman on November 30, where they will look to maintain their perfect record in the group stages of the Junior Asia Cup.
