Islamabad’s schools will soon get a technology boost. The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training announced the arrival of 300 new Chromebooks.
These laptops, designed mainly for online use and running Google’s Chrome Operating System, will go to primary and high schools in the Islamabad Capital Territory. This delivery brings the total number of Chromebooks slated for distribution to 1,000. Ministry officials say this is a major step in their continuing work to improve education through technology.
Within the next two weeks, 500 more Chromebooks will be given to Islamabad Capital Territory schools. Officials confirmed that this addition will further enhance the technology available to students. Combined with digital interactive boards, these laptops will create a modern, interactive learning environment, moving away from traditional classrooms.
Students will have access to many digital learning tools, helping them learn better and faster. The ministry emphasized its dedication to using technology to improve education and prepare students for a digital future.
Officials explained that giving students Chromebooks is part of a larger plan to empower them and modernize education. These technology platforms are expected to transform education, helping students adjust to current learning styles and boosting academic achievement.
It is unclear which schools are getting these Chromebooks or whether all students in the school will have access to these Chromebooks. Finer details are unavailable as of yet.
