Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain has announced that all Hajj 2024 applications submitted by December 3 have been approved. This includes those applying under the Sponsorship Scheme exempt from the lottery process.
The minister addressed applicants’ concerns, confirming that every application received before the initial deadline has been accepted. Additionally, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the application deadline by seven days, allowing prospective pilgrims to apply through designated banks until December 10.
Hussain noted that while all current applications are successful, a lottery may be held if submissions exceed the allocated quota. He stressed that fairness would guide any such process.
Overseas Pakistanis applying through the Sponsorship Scheme must deposit their required funds by December 10 to secure their spots. To facilitate pilgrims, the minister recommended using the Pak Haj mobile app for updates and guidance related to the pilgrimage.
The extension aims to address logistical challenges faced by applicants and provide equal opportunities for those planning to perform Hajj. Applicants are encouraged to complete the necessary formalities promptly to avoid complications.
