Saudi Arabia Issues 9 Rules for Females Pilgrims Visiting Holy Mosques

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has released nine key guidelines to assist female pilgrims in ensuring a respectful and seamless visit to these holy sites.

The guidelines were presented through an infographic shared on the Authority’s official account on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.

Female pilgrims are encouraged to follow specific practices within the prayer areas. These include wearing modest Islamic clothing, cooperating with staff, refraining from sleeping or sitting on the floors, and ensuring proper alignment in prayer rows.

Additional recommendations highlight the importance of cleanliness, avoiding food and drink in prayer spaces, keeping noise levels minimal, and refraining from stepping on carpets while wearing shoes. Pilgrims are also advised to safeguard their belongings by not leaving them unattended.

These instructions are designed to uphold the sanctity of the sacred spaces and foster a harmonious worship environment for all visitors.
