FBR to Confiscate Everything Valued Over $1200 From International Travelers

Under the proposed amendments to e Baggage Rules, 2006, the federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will confiscate everything valued over $1200 from international travelers.

FBR has published the draft of further amendment in the Baggage Rules, 2006, which it proposes to make in exercise of its powers conferred by section 219 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969).

According to draft of proposed amendments, “commercial quantity” means a quantity of goods imported prima facie for trading or pecuniary gain and not for personal use or gift, the value of which exceeds $1,200.

The goods brought in commercial quantity would not be released on payment of duty, taxes and redemption fine.

FBR has asked for objections or suggestions for consideration of the Board to be sent within seven days of publication of the notification in the official Gazette.

    • No buddy.. Pakistan Air Force is at their service to take and bring back their lazy corrupt fat black asses back home

  • FBR is run by the crooks just like its government!
My advice to all overseas Pakistanis is that they should always enter in Pakistan on their foreign passport so these rules won’t apply on them. Moreover if you are carrying stuff under your own use like 2 mobile phones, declare them that you will carry them back and hence no tax can be imposed

  • FBR !!
Punishing overseas Pakistanis is the agenda of Government Of Pakistan, people work hard before returning to Pakistan for a short piece of mind !!

Enforce these rules on protocol protected elite class then bring rules in place for ordinary citizens.

These rules are state sponsored bhutta !! and will open doors to even more corruption.

FBR walaay afsaar saab!! Think logically what kind of permit you are giving to Customs they will target ordinary ruthlessly and serve the rich.
