Promising middle-order batter Mohammad Suleman, a standout performer for the Dolphins in the Champions Cup, has expressed his ambition to don the Pakistan jersey in all formats of cricket.
In a recent interview with a local news channel, Mohammad Suleman shared his unwavering determination, saying, “Every player dreams of playing for Pakistan. I am ready to work hard in whichever format I get an opportunity.”
The young batter draws inspiration from national captain Babar Azam, particularly admiring his elegant batting style.
“I follow Babar Azam a lot. I observe how he builds innings. I love his cover drives and Younis Khan’s sweeps. I used to watch Younis in my early days,” Suleman revealed. He also praised former skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed for his outstanding leadership skills, highlighting Sarfaraz’s ability to foster a supportive and confidence-boosting environment for younger players.
Suleman reflected on his growth as a player, crediting his peers and mentors for shaping his game.
“Mohammad Hurira is like a close friend to me. I learned a lot from him during Pakistan Shaheens matches. I also had the chance to learn from Saud Shakeel during our time together in camps,” he said.
Acknowledging the challenges of domestic cricket, Suleman reflected on his recent first-class season.
“The pitches were quite challenging, but I had a good season. Playing red-ball cricket helps players adapt to different formats because it teaches you to handle varied pitches and situations,” he concluded.
