In a crackdown on harmful and substandard food items, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority seized over 750 kilograms of prohibited China salt from a warehouse in the Old Haji Camp area.
During surprise inspections at goods transport terminals in the vicinity, the food authority team discovered the banned China salt packed in sacks. The warehouse owners were penalized under the Food Safety Act.
Director General of the KP Food Authority, Wasif Saeed, commended the team for their successful operation and reaffirmed its commitment to combating food adulteration. He also warned that strict action would be taken against transporters who supply banned food items.
