11 Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute Employees Fired Over Corruption

The Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI) has dismissed 11 employees over their involvement in financial corruption.

The action was taken following complaints from patients and their attendants about coordinators in various departments misusing their institutional authority for personal gain.

A PKLI spokesperson stated on Thursday that an inquiry committee was formed to investigate these allegations. Based on the findings and substantial evidence, 11 employees were found guilty and subsequently terminated.

Additionally, evidence against seven other employees has been forwarded to the Anti-Corruption Establishment for legal action.

The PKLI reiterated its commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining public trust. The administration emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward unethical behavior and its dedication to providing quality healthcare services.
