Lenovo Legion Go S and Legion Glasses 2 Leaked Ahead of Launch

Earlier this month, the upcoming Lenovo Legion Go S handheld gaming PC was leaked, and now new renders have surfaced, showcasing its design and features. The Legion Go S appears to be a scaled-down version of last year’s Legion Go, with significant changes to its functionality and hardware.

The Go S reportedly features a smaller screen compared to its predecessor and lacks the detachable controllers that were a hallmark of the original Legion Go. The device includes 18 physical buttons, dual front-facing speakers, rear-facing fans for cooling, and two USB-C ports conveniently located on the top edge.

Under the hood, the Legion Go S will allegedly run on AMD’s Ryzen Z2 chipset, featuring Zen 3-plus cores. This makes it a step below the Zen 4 cores found in the original Legion Go and competing devices like the Asus ROG Ally.

Despite the downgrade in processing power, the Go S is positioned as a more affordable and compact alternative in the handheld gaming market, competing with popular devices like the Steam Deck.

Adding to the intrigue, leaked images of Lenovo’s Legion Glasses 2 suggest the company is planning a broader product launch. The Legion Glasses 2 seem to upgrade Lenovo’s augmented or virtual reality glasses, possibly meant to complement the Go S. These simultaneous leaks hint at an upcoming Legion event where Lenovo might officially unveil both products.

As more details emerge, the Legion Go S and Legion Glasses 2 promise to bring additional options to gaming and XR enthusiasts.
