Islamabad Temperature Drops to Freezing Point Once Again

Islamabad recorded a minimum temperature of 0°C today, marking a sharp dip as the cold wave tightened its grip across the country.

Other regions have also experienced significant drops in temperatures, according to the Meteorological Department.

Following are the minimum temperatures recorded across different areas:

  • Skardu and Leh: Recorded the coldest temperatures at -12°C.
  • Gilgit: Registered a low of -8°C.
  • Quetta and Astore: Both experienced -6°C.

Other Cities:

  • Peshawar faced sub-zero temperatures at -1°C.
  • Lahore and Faisalabad remained slightly warmer with 4°C, while Multan recorded 5°C.
  • Karachi saw a relatively mild minimum temperature of 12°C.
  • In Murree, the mercury dropped to -2°C.

In Azad Kashmir and northern areas:

  • Rawalakot and Hunza saw temperatures of -4°C.
  • Chitral, Dir, Kalam, and Bagrot all reported lows of -5°C.

The cold spell has also impacted parts of Indian-administered Kashmir, with Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian reaching -6°C, while Pulwama and Baramulla dropped to -5°C.
