Pakistan Create History With Series Win Over South Africa

Pakistan has etched its name in the history books after getting the better of South Africa in the second ODI by 81 runs. After their series clinching victory, Pakistan has become the only team in the 21st century to secure three bilateral ODI series wins against the Proteas on their home soil.

This remarkable achievement came with victories in 2013, 2021, and 2024, underscoring the team’s dominance away from home.

What makes this feat even more significant is that Pakistan has achieved it in just seven attempts, demonstrating their ability to adapt and thrive under challenging conditions of South Africa. This record puts them in elite company alongside Australia, the only other team to win three or more ODI series in South Africa. The Australians secured their victories in 1997, 2002, and 2011 but needed 10 attempts to do so.

Pakistan’s success in South Africa is a testament to the team’s resilience in alien conditions. Key players across generations have risen to the occasion, delivering match-winning performances that have silenced critics in the process.
