The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has announced the schedule for winter vacation in all private educational institutions within the federal capital.
According to a notification issued on December 20, 2024, by PEIRA, all private schools and colleges in Islamabad will remain closed from December 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025. Educational activities will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025.
The notification, signed by Muhammad Javed Iqbal, Secretary of ICT-PEIRA, emphasized that the decision applies to all private educational institutions under its jurisdiction, as per the Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions (Registration & Regulation) Act, 2013.
The winter break schedule ensures that students and staff can enjoy a much-needed respite during the cold season. Authorities have also circulated the notice to relevant officials, including the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, for implementation and public awareness.
Parents and guardians are advised to note the dates and plan accordingly as schools prepare to close for the seasonal holidays.
