The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the schedule for the West Indies men’s cricket team’s Test tour of Pakistan. The Caribbean side will play two ICC World Test Championship matches in Multan, marking their first Test visit to Pakistan in nearly two decades.
The West Indies team is set to arrive in Islamabad on January 6, 2025, and will kick off their campaign with a three-day warm-up match against Pakistan Shaheens from January 10-12 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Following this, they will face Pakistan in back-to-back Test matches at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Test Match Schedule:
Both Tests are part of the current ICC World Test Championship cycle, providing crucial opportunities for both teams to end their campaigns on a high.
This tour marks the West Indies’ first Test series in Pakistan since November 2006, when they played a three-match series. The two teams have not met for a Test series in Pakistan since then, although their last red-ball encounter on neutral ground occurred in the UAE in October 2016. In recent years, the West Indies have made three limited-overs tours to Pakistan: a T20I series in April 2018, another T20I series in December 2021, and an ODI series in June 2022.
