The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has launched a significant project to rehabilitate and upgrade a public park near the 502 Workshop on Adiala Road, in Rawalpindi with an estimated cost of Rs. 450 million. PHA Director General Ahmad Hassan Ranjha stated that Rs. 20 million had been released by the government, and the remaining amount is expected next month. The project is anticipated to be completed within a year, introducing several new recreational features for visitors.
The development plan includes the construction of eleven BBQ gazebos, a multi-purpose recreational arena, a gaming zone, two basketball courts, a cricket pitch, mini-golf facilities, and three tennis courts. Enhancements will also focus on a 300-square-foot lake within the park, with improved seating arrangements and a pedestrian bridge. Fitness enthusiasts will benefit from a 2,600-foot strolling path, a 2,000-foot cycling track, and a 1,400-foot jogging track.
The park will include a botanical garden, a manicured garden, and an amusement park, making it appealing to families and individuals.
