Former New Zealand star Colin Munro has thrown his name into the mix for the highly anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 player draft, with the franchise league announcing his registration on Saturday.
The 37-year-old made his PSL debut back in 2018 for Karachi Kings and afterward quickly became a vital figure for Islamabad United, representing the three-time champions in every edition up to 2024. His consistent performances with the bat have made him one of the league’s most reliable overseas players.
Over his 47-match PSL career, Munro has accumulated 1,417 runs at an impressive average of 32.95 and a strike rate of 150.58, including 12 half-centuries.
| Matches | Innings | Not Outs | Runs | Highest Score | Average | Balls Faced | Strike Rate | Hundreds | Fifties | 4s | 6s |

| 47 | 47 | 4 | 1417 | 90* | 32.95 | 941 | 150.58 | 0 | 12 | 131 | 71 |
Munro’s performance in the 2024 PSL was particularly memorable. Playing for Shadab Khan-led Islamabad United, he contributed heavily to their title-winning campaign, scoring 326 runs in 10 matches, with three half-centuries to his name. His tally made him the sixth-highest run-scorer of the tournament, solidifying his reputation as one of the premier T20 batsmen in the world.
Munro is the 13th foreign player confirmed to have registered for the 10th edition of the PSL, joining a star-studded list that includes New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, England’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Curran, David Willey, Dawid Malan, and Jason Roy, as well as Australia’s Alex Carey and Usman Khawaja, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw, and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza.
