Australian cricketing greats David Warner and Steve Smith are among the sundry talent which is expected to confirm their availability for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10.
According to reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is awaiting confirmation from David Warner and Steve Smith, as well as New Zealand’s captain Kane Williamson, who are among the most sought-after players for the landmark season 10 of the PSL.
One of the highlights of the PSL 10 draft pool is the availability of players from all Test-playing nations, except India. The inclusion of top-tier talent from Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies ensures a diverse and competitive roster for the league’s 10th edition.
PCB had already approached the world-famous trio for their interest in PSL after they found no bidders in the IPL auction. The two leagues, which are set to run concurrently for the first time, offer established stars plenty of lucrative roster spots.
Meanwhile, England’s key all-rounder Chris Woakes and explosive batter Jonny Bairstow are also on the PCB’s radar for PSL 10.
However, their participation depends on the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) which has become a nuisance for the players as of late. Given their commitments to international and domestic schedules, the ECB’s decision will play a critical role in finalizing the draft pool.
The draft promises a star-studded lineup, with over 20 overseas players already confirmed, including previous PSL standouts such as Rilee Rossouw, Jason Roy, and Colin Munro.
