The government has decided to introduce inclusive education in public schools, allowing children with mild physical disabilities to enroll, according to official sources.
Under this initiative, children with minor disabilities can now attend nearby public schools. School principals have been directed to ensure the admission of such students without any discrimination.
Previously, mainstream schools often hesitated to admit children with disabilities, forcing parents to enroll their children in specialized institutions. The new policy aims to eliminate this barrier and create an inclusive educational environment.
Punjab’s Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat will give the final approval of the policy, paving the way for its implementation.
