Shab-e-Meraj will be observed on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, with great reverence by Muslims around the world, including Pakistan. This sacred night, commemorating the ascension of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the highest heavens, holds immense religious significance.
The Islamic month of Rajab 1446 AH has already begun, marking an important time in the Islamic calendar.
On Shab-e-Meraj, believers will gather in mosques to offer special prayers, seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness. Religious scholars will deliver sermons highlighting the importance of Meraj in Islamic teachings. Mehfil-e-Naats and other religious gatherings will also be held in mosques following Isha prayers.
Television channels will air programs focusing on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Homes, streets, and public spaces will be decorated with lights and colorful displays.
Shab-e-Meraj, observed on the 27th night of Rajab each year, commemorates the night journey when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) ascended to meet Allah (SWT). On this blessed night, the five daily prayers were made obligatory for Muslims.
