Thomas Felder, the German Second Secretary, was discovered dead at his residence in Karakoram Heights within Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave, according to local police reports.
As per preliminary investigations, Felder, who had a known history of heart-related issues, likely died of natural causes. The police officials stated that he had recently received treatment at Kulsoom Hospital and was absent from work at the German Embassy on the day of his death.
When Felder could not be reached by phone, the embassy sent a driver to check on him. Finding the apartment locked from the inside, the driver alerted embassy officials, who then contacted the local police for assistance.
Duty Officer Irshad and SHO Ashfaq arrived at the scene, but embassy staff had already forced the door open and found Felder unresponsive. The embassy did not allow police to take photographs or proceed with further on-site actions.
A doctor was summoned by the embassy to examine the body. Police have since transported the dead body for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death. Senior officials, including SSP Diplomatic Enclave Zeeshan Haider, were present to monitor the situation. Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
