The trials for the National Street Children football team for the Norway Cup 2025 are underway and will continue until the first week of March 2025.
In the first phase, trials were conducted in 12 cities across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Peshawar, Kohat, and Dera Ismail Khan. This week, trials will be held in Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
A large number of young players participated in the trials held in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The management of the national Street Children football team set the maximum age for participants to be 17 years.
It is important to note that the Street Child World Cup 2026 will take place in the USA during February and March, with 24 countries’ Street Child teams participating. Additionally, Europe’s largest youth football tournament, the Norway Cup, will be held from July 26 to August 2, 2025, in Oslo, Norway.
The national Street Children football team had a remarkable achievement in 2022, finishing as runners-up in the World Cup. They also secured fourth place in the 2024 Norway Cup.
