Punjab Launches Modern Health Clinics

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday unveiled the innovative “Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic” initiative, marking a new milestone in healthcare.

As part of this project, 150 health centers across Punjab will be upgraded into modern clinics, offering comprehensive healthcare facilities comparable to top private establishments.

During the launch, Chief Minister Sharif distributed appointment letters to doctors involved in the project. Provincial Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir praised her leadership, referring to her as a “Super CM.” Sharif interacted warmly with the doctors, posing for photos and engaging in lighthearted conversations.

In a related initiative, MRI services have been introduced in district hospitals across Punjab under a public-private partnership. Agreements have been signed to launch MRI scanning services in Sheikhupura and Bahawalnagar, with a project cost of Rs. 399.2 million.

Sheikhupura’s District Headquarters Hospital has already installed an MRI machine, while Bahawalnagar’s installation is underway.
