DIG Traffic Orders Crackdown on E-Challan Defaulters in Lahore

The DIG Traffic Lahore has directed a stricter crackdown on e-challan defaulters across the city. Traffic wardens on duty have been instructed to actively check the e-challan records of motorcycles and vehicles during routine stops.

According to CTO Athar Waheed, wardens will be responsible for ensuring the recovery of outstanding dues from vehicles with unpaid e-challans. This marks a shift from the previous approach, where actions against defaulters were primarily based on alerts provided by the Safe City Authority.

Athar Waheed highlighted that thousands of motorcycles and vehicles in Lahore have been identified by the Safe City Authority as having outstanding e-challans. The intensified crackdown aims to address this backlog and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
