Poco X7 Series Launched Globally With Powerful Hardware for Cheap

Poco has unveiled the Poco X7 Series consisting of two devices the Poco X7 and X7 Pro, two midrange smartphones packed with strong specifications like 50MP cameras, AMOLED displays, and powerful chipsets.

Here’s a detailed look at the devices.

Design and Display

The Poco X7 and X7 Pro feature a sleek and modern design with 6.67-inch AMOLED displays that offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro model boasts an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits while the vanilla has 3,000 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use.

The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, ensuring durability against scratches and drops. On the other hand, the vanilla Poco X7 comes with Gorilla Glass 7i, which offers slightly less protection.

The X7 and X7 Pro boast IP68 water and dust resistance, while the Indian variants have IP66 and IP69 ratings, ensuring maximum durability.

Regarding aesthetics, both devices come in Green, Black, and a standout vegan leather Yellow option, as shown below. There is an exclusive Ironman Edition of the Pro, complete with a themed back panel, accessories, and more.

Internals and Software

The Poco X7 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8400 chipset, delivering reliable performance for multitasking and light gaming. It supports memory configurations of up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring faster data access.

Running on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, the Pro offers advanced AI features such as AI Erase Pro, AI Film, and AI Interpreter.

Meanwhile, the Poco X7 houses the Dimensity 7300 chipset, providing solid daily performance. It supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with configurations of up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The X7 runs the first iteration of HyperOS, which includes basic AI tools but lacks the Pro’s advanced functionality.

Camera

Poco X7 Series features a 50MP primary camera with Sony’s IMX882 sensor and OIS, ensuring stable images. The Pro model includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera for capturing expansive shots, while the X7 adds a 2MP macro lens for close-up photography.

The front cameras on both devices are 20MP sensors housed in a punch-hole design.

Battery and Pricing

The Poco X7 Pro houses a 6,000 mAh battery (6,500 mAh in India) with 90W wired charging, enabling a full charge in just 42 minutes. Xiaomi ensures that the battery retains 90% capacity after 1,000 charging cycles.

The Poco X7 comes with a 5,110 mAh battery and 45W wired charging, designed to retain 80% capacity after 1,600 cycles, ensuring reliable long-term use.

Pricing for the Poco X7 Pro starts at $279 for the 8/256 GB model, while the Poco X7 begins at $229 for the 8/256 GB version. The exclusive Ironman Edition of the Pro, featuring 12/512 GB storage and a custom design, is available for $399.
