Redmi Note 14 Pro Duo Goes Global, Complete with High-End Features

Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 14 Pro series to the European market, featuring three models: the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G. Each model offers distinct specifications and features, catering to various user needs.

Design and Display

The Redmi Note 14 Pro series includes a 6.67-inch OLED display across all models, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro+ and Pro 5G versions stand out with their higher resolution of 1220p+ and inclusion of Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, ensuring vibrant colors and contrast. These displays achieve an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making them excellent for outdoor visibility.

Meanwhile, the Pro 4G, while offering the same display size, has a lower resolution of 1080p and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. It lacks HDR support but still provides a smooth viewing experience.

To enhance durability, all models feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front. The Pro+ adds a premium touch with additional materials on the back, such as Gorilla Glass 7i or vegan leather, depending on the chosen color. All models come in Frost Blue, Midnight Black, and Lavender Purple, offering users a range of stylish options.

Internals and Software

When it comes to performance, the three models are equipped with different chipsets to meet diverse user requirements. The Pro+ uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which delivers nearly high-end performance. On the other hand, the Pro 5G runs on the Dimensity 7300 Ultra, providing efficient multitasking capabilities. Meanwhile, the Pro 4G is powered by the Helio G100 Ultra, making it a reliable choice for daily tasks, but not demanding gaming.

In terms of memory and storage, all models start at 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. However, the Pro+ takes it a step further by offering a high-end configuration of 12 GB/512 GB. All devices run Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android 14, ensuring a user-friendly and smooth software experience. This operating system supports essential features without unnecessary complexity.

Camera

The camera setup remains consistent across all models. Each device features a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 16-in-1 pixel binning. This camera supports lossless 2x and 4x zoom capabilities, enhancing their functionality. Complementing the main camera are an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera, making the devices suitable for a variety of photography scenarios.

The front-facing cameras, however, differ slightly. The Pro+ and Pro 5G come with a 20MP sensor, whereas the Pro 4G is equipped with a 32MP camera. All models support the Dual Video feature, enabling simultaneous recording with both front and rear cameras.

Battery and Pricing

In the battery department, the Pro+ stands out with its 5,110 mAh capacity and support for 120W fast charging, which allows for blazing-fast recharge times. Comparatively, the Pro 5G and Pro 4G share the same 45W charging technology. However, the Pro 4G features a slightly larger 5,500mAh battery, offering more extended usage.

Charging adapters are included in select regions, ensuring convenience for users.

When it comes to pricing, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G starts at $305 for the 8/256 GB configuration. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G begins at $365 for the same configuration, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is priced at $488 for 8/256 GB and $549 for the 12/512 GB variant.
