Gas Theft Crackdown: 430 Illegal Connections Disconnected Across Punjab, KP, and Islamabad; Rs 2.5 Million Fines Imposed

In its ongoing crackdown against gas theft, SNGPL has disconnected 430 illegal connections across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, imposing fines amounting to Rs 2.5 million.

In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 33 connections for illegal gas use and 4 for using compressors. Fines totaling Rs 0.66 million were imposed.

In Faisalabad, 13 illegal connections were disconnected, and Rs 0.14 million in fines were imposed.

In Sheikhupura, the team disconnected 9 illegal connections and levied fines worth Rs 1.18 million.

In Multan, 50 illegal connections and 2 compressor-related connections were disconnected.

In Bahawalpur, the team disconnected 34 illegal connections and 7 connections due to compressor use.

In Karak, 271 illegal connections were disconnected, and 5 individuals were arrested for gas theft.

In Sahiwal, 4 illegal connections were disconnected, and fines amounting to Rs 0.38 million were imposed.

In Gujranwala, the team disconnected 2 illegal connections and 1 compressor-related connection while imposing fines of Rs 0.18 million.
