According to sources, in-form batter Khushdil Shah has secured a spot in the squad following an impressive stint in the Bangladesh Premier League. His strong performances are likely to see him replace Saim Ayub.
Imam-ul-Haq’s inclusion in the Champions Trophy squad seems almost certain, whereas Shan Masood’s chances appear slim. This reflects the selectors’ emphasis on suitability for the tournament’s conditions.
