The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) convened on Friday and sanctioned three development projects totaling Rs20.59 billion. Chaired by Barrister Nabeel Awan, Chairman of the Planning & Development Board, the 59th meeting endorsed several key initiatives:
- The Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) will be established through a comprehensive door-to-door socio-economic survey, which is projected to cost Rs 9.17 billion.
- The cost of Phase II of the dualisation project for the Lodhran-Kheror Pacca-Mailsi-Vehari Road, which covers the remaining 20km, is estimated at Rs4.35 billion.
- Rehabilitation of the Gujrat-Sargodha Road, spanning 94.3km from Km 27.90 to 122.20, for Rs 7.06 billion.
Dr. Asif Tufail, Secretary of the Planning & Development Board, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, and board members and senior officials were present at the meeting.
