With the Galaxy S25 series now officially launched and set to hit stores on February 7th, attention has naturally turned to Samsung’s upcoming foldables. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 has entered the spotlight, and GalaxyClub has revealed its rumored camera specifications and more.
Unchanged Camera Hardware
Although there’s no confirmation about sensor upgrades, it seems unlikely Samsung will introduce significant changes, such as adding a telephoto lens or an under-display camera, especially since the newly introduced Galaxy S25 series features little to no camera hardware changes as well.

AI Over Hardware
Instead of focusing on hardware improvements, Samsung appears to be prioritizing AI-driven enhancements. The ProVisual Engine, first introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, will likely make its way to the Z Flip 7. This engine powers features like “Best Face”, designed to improve photo quality through advanced AI processing. Furthermore, this mirrors the strategy seen in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, where AI helped refine skin tones but also resulted in occasional issues, such as darker images in certain scenarios.
Powered by Exynos 2500
The Z Flip 7 will reportedly run on Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 chipset, which is expected to optimize performance through AI integration. This approach, while promising, will inevitably draw comparisons with competitors heavily investing in both hardware and software for their foldable devices, especially Chinese phone makers.

As Samsung gears up for the official unveiling of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, it’s evident that the company is banking on AI-powered features to maintain its edge in the foldable market. This strategy may attract users interested in intelligent photography tools, but it remains unclear if it will satisfy those seeking a significant hardware upgrade. We will have to wait and see how it goes during the July launch.
