Islamabad’s public transportation system is set for expansion. Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa has approved the launch of feeder bus services.
The three new routes are: Tarnol to Secretariat, Bahria Town to Pirwadhai, and Rawat Chowk to Secretariat. During a meeting at CDA headquarters, attended by key officials, Randhawa ordered to begin work on these routes.
He emphasized that the new bus routes should be designed to pass through key areas, including business hubs, universities, hospitals, and other important locations in Islamabad, ensuring better accessibility for commuters.
To improve convenience, Randhawa also instructed officials to introduce a card system for weekly and monthly passengers. Additionally, he suggested developing a mobile app to facilitate commuters.
The chairman recommended financial assistance for certain groups, such as senior citizens, to make public transport more affordable.

Bus stops should hv digital displays which carry info of Next Bus Number and reaching Time.
Please start a bus service from sadar ko faizabad.. There is no bus available for this route.. As a woman its very difficult to change two vans from sadar to faizabad.

In stead of Tarnol to Secretariat, the proposed may be From Faisal Town -Turnol – Secretariat via Kashmir Highway. This route can fetch more commuters thus more viable economically.
Hassanabdal to zero point route is much awaited. CDA must look into it.
Route should be fast
From Tarnol to Kashmir highway, Zero point, Serena, then Secretariat
Most of the routes are made not in public interest
FR-10 route should be from taxila to PIMS
