The era of unskilled Pakistani workers securing jobs in the UAE is nearing its end, as the country shifts toward a demand for highly skilled professionals, according to Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.
In an interview with Gulf News, Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized that Pakistan must focus on training professionals in fields such as IT, banking, artificial intelligence, healthcare, and aviation to meet the UAE’s evolving job market needs.
He highlighted that skilled workers could secure high-paying positions, earning significantly more than unskilled laborers. Tirmizi also underscored the global demand for nurses and physiotherapists, calling for world-class nursing education in Pakistan.
Additionally, he revealed discussions with international institutions to establish pilot training schools in Pakistan to make aviation careers more accessible.
Remittances from the UAE to Pakistan have surged by 53% in six months, reaching $4.5 billion. Tirmizi expressed confidence that this figure could exceed $9 billion by the fiscal year’s end.
Looking ahead, he stressed the importance of tourism, higher education, and foreign investment in shaping Pakistan’s economic future, with the UAE playing a key role in that vision.

I believe the source of your article is Gulf News and with similar title but no where in that article does it say that UAE is going to stop issuing visas for Pakistani unskilled workers. Stop creating click-bait titles and create further confusion to a topic that is already very complicated.
