Action Ordered Against Agent Mafia Outside Passport Offices

Authorities have initiated a crackdown against the agent mafia operating outside passport offices across the country.

Director General of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, has directed all regional passport offices to submit daily monitoring reports to the headquarters.

According to sources, a special team from the headquarters will conduct surprise visits to closely monitor agents involved in illegal activities outside passport offices. Additionally, daily cases will be registered, and arrests will be made. In a recent operation outside the Garden Passport Office in Lahore, an agent was arrested, and a case was filed against him.

The DG of Passports has urged citizens to cooperate with authorities in prosecuting the agent mafia and to report any illegal activities immediately. He further stated that the expansion of 24/7 passport office services nationwide aims to provide citizens with a hassle-free and dignified passport processing experience.

He also assured that all complaints regarding passport issuance delays have been addressed, and efforts are being made to deliver passports in even less time than the stipulated period. These measures are intended to make the passport issuance process transparent and free from corruption, ensuring a smooth experience for the public.
