SBP Reserves Roar Back Near $19 Billion After Huge Increase

Foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $1.944 billion during the week ended July 3, 2026.

The central bank’s latest data showed that the country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves increased by $1.944 billion to $23.989 billion, compared to $22.045 billion in the previous week.

Reserves held by the SBP increased to $18.471 billion from $16.527 billion a week earlier.

Net foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks stood at $5.518 billion, up $1 million from $5.517 billion in the previous week.
