To give fans a glimpse of the transformation, Naqvi also shared a video timeline of the stadium’s construction process, highlighting its journey toward becoming a modern, world-class cricketing venue.

This development aligns with Pakistan’s broader efforts to enhance its cricket infrastructure, with Karachi now joining Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which was recently inaugurated after its own renovations.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, featuring eight teams competing in 15 matches over 19 days, will kick off on 19th February 2025, with hosts and defending champions Pakistan facing New Zealand in the tournament opener at the National Bank Stadium.

With the grand inauguration of the National Bank Stadium on 11th February and the Champions Trophy opener just days later, Pakistan is set to make a strong statement as an international cricket hub. The musical performances, dazzling fireworks, and vibrant celebrations will set the stage for an action-packed tournament, ensuring an unforgettable lead-up to one of the year’s biggest cricketing events.
