BYD Unveils “God’s Eye” Autopilot Driving System for All Models

BYD has unveiled its latest driving assistance system, called “God’s Eye,” which aims to bring advanced self-driving technology to all its vehicles, including the budget-friendly Seagull hatchback priced at 69,800 yuan (approximately 9,550 USD).

The system will be available in three versions, with some models featuring up to three LiDAR sensors for enhanced functionality.

The entry-level version, “God’s Eye C,” is designed for standard BYD vehicles and uses a three-camera setup behind the windshield. It is powered by the DiPilot 100 system, which delivers a computing power of 100 TOPS. This version includes 12 cameras, 5 mm-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars, providing a 360-degree view and precise parking capabilities. The system can detect objects up to 300 meters away.

The mid-tier version, “God’s Eye B,” adds a LiDAR sensor for improved perception and is powered by the DiPilot 300 system with 300 TOPS computing power. This version will be used in Denza, Fang Cheng Bao, and some high-end BYD models. The top-tier version, “God’s Eye A,” features three LiDAR sensors and is powered by the DiPilot 600 system with 600 TOPS computing power. This advanced version will be included in BYD’s luxury brand, Yangwang.

Wang Chuanfu also announced that all BYD models, including those priced under 100,000 yuan (around 13,690 USD), will feature the “God’s Eye” system. These vehicles will use BYD’s Xuanji architecture, which integrates a central processor, cloud AI, vehicle-side AI, and multiple networks for seamless operation. The system will also connect to the Deepseek R1 model to enhance AI capabilities further.

The “God’s Eye A” and “God’s Eye B” systems support NOA (navigation on a map) for both city and highway driving. The entry-level “God’s Eye C” currently supports highway NOA, but city NOA functionality is expected to be added through future updates.
