The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has started constructing dedicated biker lanes to improve road safety and traffic flow. Following Beijing’s model, the first 10-kilometer stretch from Ferozepur Road to Lahore Bridge has been finalized under CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s directive.
The LDA urges citizens to follow lane discipline to ensure success, with plans to expand across Lahore.
OPF Delegation Meets LDA for Scheme Development
A delegation from the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) met with LDA DG Tahir Farooq to discuss housing scheme issues. The LDA pledged technical assistance, emphasizing the importance of overseas Pakistanis who contribute billions in foreign exchange.
LDA Seals 108 Illegal Commercial Properties
The LDA cracked down on illegal commercial properties, sealing 108 businesses in Gulberg, Faisal Town, Allama Iqbal Town, and other areas. Targets included schools, restaurants, salons, workshops, and banks. The operation aims to enforce urban planning and tax compliance.
