Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has forecasted the possible sighting of the Ramadan moon in the country.
According to officials, the crescent is expected to be visible on March 1, marking the beginning of the holy month. The department stated that the new moon will be born on February 28 at 5:45 PM, increasing the likelihood of sighting it the following evening.
Based on this prediction, the first fast of Ramadan is expected to fall on Sunday, March 2. Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a sacred period of fasting, prayer, and reflection observed by Muslims worldwide.
During this month, believers abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset, focusing on spiritual growth and devotion.
