LDA Earns Rs. 3.55 Billion From Selling Various Plots

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) generated a whopping Rs3.55 billion in revenue during a single public auction of plots held on Thursday at the Lahore Expo Centre.

A total of 42 properties—spanning residential, commercial, educational, market, dispensary, and apartment sites, along with restaurants, canteens, and salons—went under the hammer.

The highlight of the auction was a commercial plot on Jail Road, Gulberg V, which fetched an impressive Rs1.88 billion. Meanwhile, an apartment site in Johar Town B-1 was auctioned for Rs436.6 million, and a commercial plot in Jubilee Town secured Rs162 million.

Other notable sales included:

  • Education site in OPF Scheme’s A Block: Rs179.6 million
  • Commercial plot in Civic Centre, Johar Town: Rs87.6 million
  • Lease rights for an education site in Mustafa Town: Rs20.8 million
  • Restaurant site at LDA Sports Complex Canal West: Rs12.1 million
  • Rooftop restaurant in Moon Market, Allama Iqbal Town: Rs7.7 million

Various school canteens, marquees, and sports sites across Lahore also attracted competitive bids. Commercial plots in Johar Town, Jubilee Town, Mustafa Town, Tajpura, and Sabzazar drew offers ranging from Rs5 million to over Rs37 million.

The auction was overseen by top LDA officials, including the Director General, additional DGs for Housing and Urban Planning, and directors for Revenue, Finance, Auction, and Education.

An LDA spokesperson noted that this auction surpassed the previous event’s revenue of Rs2 billion, marking another significant financial milestone for the authority.
