Samsung Confirms New Design for Upcoming M-Series Phones

Samsung is set to expand its mid-range smartphone lineup with two new additions, the Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy M16, as revealed by a recently launched Amazon India landing page. The early marketing materials have appeared and they showcase a new design for the upcoming budget phones.

These images mark the return of a dedicated camera island, a feature the Korean tech giant had abandoned in mid-2022 in favor of individually protruding lenses on budget as well as premium Galaxy phones.

The teaser image provides a glimpse of the devices’ camera setups, with the M06 sporting a dual-camera setup, while its sibling, the M16, appears to house a triple-camera array.

Knowing Samsung’s usual strategy, the Galaxy M06 should share a fair amount of specs with its recently launched cousin, the Galaxy F06 5G, which debuted in the Indian market two weeks ago. The F06 5G comes equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, features a 5 MP primary camera, and operates on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI Core 7.0 interface, the Core version being dedicated to entry-level phones, similar to Android GO OS.

Here’s a short teaser video from Samsung accompanied by the promotional image above.

Since the teaser comes from Amazon India, it should be obvious that the phone is coming to India first. There is no mention of if or when the phone will reach Pakistan.
