Pakistan Railways Upgrades Lahore-Karachi Shah Hussain Express

Pakistan Railways has introduced modernized passenger coaches for the Shah-Hussain Express, enhancing travel comfort between Lahore and Karachi.

The upgraded train features luxury seats, dining cars, improved toilets, and other facilities. The newly equipped coaches will begin operations today.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Tahir Rai has assumed charge as the 28th Inspector General of Railways Police. Upon his arrival, senior officers of the Central Police Office welcomed him, and a special squad presented a salute. He later laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and offered Fateha.

IG Tahir Rai said that ensuring passenger security would be the Railways Police’s top priority. He warned that any misconduct toward travelers would not be tolerated.

Rai, a senior officer from the 21st Common of the Police Service of Pakistan, has previously held key positions, including Director General of the National Police Bureau, National Coordinator of NACTA, Director General of the FIA, and Inspector General of Balochistan Police.
