Pakistan’s disastrous Champions Trophy campaign is reflected in the latest ICC ODI rankings, with Pakistan’s pace duo slipping from their previous positions, while the batters did not fare any better.
After two humbling outings against India and New Zealand, Shaheen Afridi has slipped five places in the latest ICC ODI rankings to sit 9th in the table, while his partner in crime, Haris Rauf, has dropped six spots to now occupy the 22nd rank in the world.
Naseem Shah, the third pacer in the lineup, has seen a slight improvement in his rankings but still sits 42nd in the world in the latest update. The biggest riser from the country is Abrar Ahmed, following his outing against India. The mystery spinner has climbed 26 slots to enter the top 50 ODI bowlers in the world, now ranked 49th.
Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana continues to lead the table despite not playing in the Champions Trophy.
