A tragic accident in Faizabad claimed the life of a woman after a government university bus collided with a motorcycle on Wednesday. The crash, which took place within the jurisdiction of the I-9 police station, also left a man injured.
According to officials, the bus belonged to the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). Witnesses reported that the impact was severe, causing the woman to die instantly, while the injured man was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, the driver fled the scene. Law enforcement authorities, including the traffic police and local police, have launched an investigation and are in contact with the university administration.
Officials assured that efforts are underway to apprehend the driver and take legal action.
In a separate incident, police in Islamabad’s Phulgran area arrested a man accused of attacking his wife with a sharp object. Authorities stated that the suspect had fled after injuring his wife on February 23 but was tracked down and taken into custody.
