Oppo has officially confirmed that the Find X8 Ultra will launch in April, slightly later than the initial rumors suggesting a March release. Zhou Yibao, Oppo’s Find series product manager, made the announcement, stating that the device will go on sale the same month.
Zhou also hinted that the Find X8 Ultra could be the only Ultra smartphone from a Chinese brand this year featuring a flat display. While he did not disclose specific details, he teased that the phone will have the “narrowest” feature in the world, possibly referring to extremely thin bezels.
Leaks suggest that the device will sport a 6.82-inch 2K OLED display manufactured by BOE, a 1-inch type main camera, and two periscope telephoto lenses alongside an ultrawide sensor. If these rumors hold, the Find X8 Ultra could bring significant improvements to mobile photography.
In addition to the Find X8 Ultra, Oppo plans to unveil another device described as an “ultra-thin small-screen flagship Find.” This is likely the Find X8 Next, previously rumored as the Find X8 Mini.
The Find X8 Next is expected to be between 7mm and 7.99mm thin, which aligns with Oppo’s branding shift. This move suggests that Oppo aims to position the device as a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone 17 Air, both known for their sleek designs and compact flagship performance, at least in leaks.
