Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, held a meeting with domestic cricketers ahead of the national team’s upcoming tour of New Zealand. The meeting, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by young players, highlighted the PCB’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
During the session, the young cricketers shared their concerns regarding fitness, skill development, and diet plans during training. They emphasized the need for better resources and guidance to improve their overall performance.
Responding to their concerns, Naqvi directed the relevant authorities to take immediate action. He announced that these young players would be granted access to all cricket academies across the country, ensuring they have the facilities needed to hone their skills. Additionally, he instructed the development of a specialized diet plan tailored to enhance their fitness and performance.
Speaking to the players, Naqvi underscored the importance of physical training and assured them that professional trainers would be made available to support their development. “You are the future stars of Pakistan cricket, and providing resources for your development is an investment in the game’s bright future,” he said, encouraging the players to remain focused and dedicated.
The meeting was attended by a group of promising domestic cricketers, including Muhammad Ali, Ali Raza, Ahmed Daniyal, Nisar Ahmed, Muhammad Ibtisam, Muhammad Salman, Afaq Afridi, Abdul Samad, Saad Masood, Khawaja Nafi, Moaz Sadaqat, Arafat Minhas, Mubasir Khan, Haider Ali, Hassan Nawaz, Faisal Akram, Tahir Baig, and Qasim Akram.
