Infinix Launches Affordable Note 50 and Note 50 Pro With Premium Flagship Features

Infinix has introduced the Note 50 and Note 50 Pro, bringing premium features at an affordable price. Both models offer high refresh rate AMOLED displays, improved cameras, and long-lasting batteries. While they share many similarities, the Pro model includes a better selfie camera and faster charging speeds.

Design and Display

The Infinix Note 50 and Note 50 Pro feature a sleek metallic body, giving them a premium look and feel. Both phones come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution. One of the biggest upgrades is the 144Hz refresh rate.

Despite maintaining the same size and resolution as their predecessors, the Note 40 series, the higher refresh rate makes the display experience much better. Both models are also IP64-rated, offering dust and somewhat water resistance for added durability.

The Infinix Note 50 is available in Green, Red, Gray, and Gold. While the Note 50 Pro offers a more premium look with Purple, Gold, Gray, and Silver colors.

Internals and Software

Powering both devices is the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, a mid-range processor designed for efficient performance. While some may have expected a more powerful SoC, Indonesia’s slow 5G rollout makes 4G connectivity a more practical choice for these models.

The Note 50 and Note 50 Pro run on XOS 15, based on Android 15, providing a modern user experience with new software features and system optimizations. Other key features include NFC, FM radio, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Camera

The camera system gets an upgrade with a 50MP main sensor on both models, equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for better low-light performance and sharper images.

The rear camera setup differs between the two models. The Note 50 includes a 2MP depth sensor, while the Note 50 Pro replaces it with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a flicker sensor, adding greater versatility to its photography capabilities.

On the front, the Note 50 sports a 13MP selfie camera, while the Note 50 Pro offers a higher-resolution 32MP shooter, making it the better option for selfie lovers and video calls.

Battery and Pricing

Battery life is another major highlight, with both models featuring a 5,200mAh battery for long-lasting usage. The Note 50 supports 45W wired charging, while the Note 50 Pro steps up to 90W wired charging, significantly reducing charging times. Both devices also support wireless magnetic charging (similar to MagSafe) at up to 10W, providing added convenience.

The Infinix Note 50 is available in Green, Red, Gray, and Gold, with an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant starting at IDR 2,699,000 ($165). The Note 50 Pro offers a more premium look with Purple, Gold, Gray, and Silver color options, priced at IDR 2,999,000 ($182) for the same memory configuration.
