In a major crackdown on human smuggling and illegal migration, authorities have restricted the travel of over 52,000 individuals to the US, UK, and Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, sources revealed on Monday.
According to FIA officials, 52,520 Pakistani nationals have been banned from traveling abroad due to concerns related to illegal migration, deportation, and criminal activities.
Many of these individuals were previously deported from various countries for legal violations, prompting stricter measures to curb human trafficking.
To enforce the restrictions, the Directorate of Passport and Immigration has placed the affected individuals on the Passport Control List (PCL), preventing them from leaving the country. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has also received an updated list and has been directed to strengthen monitoring at international airports and border crossings.
Authorities have intensified their crackdown, particularly targeting human smuggling networks. Official data shows that 4,210 beggars were deported from Saudi Arabia, with 1,546 placed under travel bans.
Additionally, 331 beggars deported from various countries have been restricted from traveling abroad. Meanwhile, 46,433 individuals who served prison sentences in the UAE have also been banned from international travel due to security concerns.
