The German Consulate in Karachi has updated its passport collection hours for the month of Ramazan, aiming to accommodate visitors during the fasting period.
According to an official announcement, passport collection will now be available from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, for the duration of Ramazan.
The consulate stated that this temporary adjustment is intended to ease the process for applicants observing the holy month. Normal service hours are expected to resume after Ramazan.
In a separate development, the US Embassy has introduced a new online visa appointment system, set to be implemented on February 8, 2025. The US Consulate General in Karachi has issued guidelines to assist applicants in adapting to the updated process.
Under the new system, visa applicants must create a profile before scheduling their appointment. Those who have already paid the visa fee or booked an appointment under the previous system should register using the same email address to ensure a smooth transfer of their details.
