Vivo Y300i Launched with Huge Battery for Under $210

Vivo has officially introduced the Y300i in China. After several teasers and a listing on the China Telecom website, the company has now confirmed the phone’s full specifications and release details. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a large battery, and an attractive price tag.

Design and Display

The Vivo Y300i has a flat frame and a simple design. The back panel houses two cameras, and the front has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. It will be available in three colors: Black, Titanium, and Blue. The phone features a 6.68-inch LCD with HD+ resolution. While it does not offer full HD sharpness, it includes a 120Hz refresh rate.

Internals and Software

Vivo has powered the device with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, a budget processor built on a 6nm process. It pairs the chip with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, also offering 256 GB or 512 GB of storage options. There is no mention of expandable storage through microSD.

It runs Android 15 with OriginOS, which includes several interface customizations and features specific to China. The global model should come with Funtouch OS as always.

Cameras

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary rear camera is present but has not been specified in detail, which may indicate a basic supporting role, such as a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is 5MP and is placed in the center punch-hole.

This setup is standard for phones in this price category and is suitable for basic photography and video calls.

Battery and Pricing

The phone includes a 6,500 mAh battery, which is massive compared to the competition. It supports 44W wired charging, but wireless charging is not supported. Vivo has priced the Y300i at CNY 1,499 (approximately $205) and plans to start sales in China on March 14.
