Bangladesh cricketers Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain have officially applied to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to participate in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL X) 2025, scheduled to begin on April 11. Star batter Litton Das is also expected to submit his application soon.
The trio secured spots in the PSL 2025 draft, with Nahid Rana picked in the Gold category by Peshawar Zalmi, while Rishad Hossain and Litton Das were selected in the Silver category by Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, respectively.
However, their participation in the lucrative T20 league remains uncertain due to Bangladesh’s Test series against Zimbabwe, which is set to take place during the same period. The series is a crucial part of Bangladesh’s international commitments, and the BCB’s decision on granting NOCs will likely depend on the team’s requirements for the Test squad.
Nahid Rana, a promising young pacer, has been a standout performer in domestic cricket and is expected to bring firepower to Peshawar Zalmi’s bowling attack. Meanwhile, Rishad Hossain, a leg-spinner with growing potential, is set to bolster Lahore Qalandars’ spin department. Litton Das, one of Bangladesh’s premier batters, is a key addition for Karachi Kings, bringing experience and stability to their lineup.
The BCB has yet to make an official statement regarding the players’ applications, but the overlap between the PSL X and the Test series could complicate matters. Historically, the board has been cautious about granting NOCs when international commitments are at stake.
